From the Pastor
In January 1986 the Lord led my wife, Anne, and me to Manhattan, Kansas to start Faith Baptist Church. In October of that year, we had a charter service in which the church officially organized and called me as their Pastor.
In our ministry, we have always tried to put an emphasis on the Bible. We have consistantly tried to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and have geared our ministries to help people grow in their Christian faith.
Throughout the years, God has been so good in providing the needs of Faith baptist Church.

General Information
Our Pastor
Pastor Byford and his wife Anne sincerely seek to meet the needs of God's people by a kind application of the Word of God. Pastor Byford preaches a clear understanding of God's word and shows how the Bible answers all of our daily needs.
Our Invitation
Visitors are always honored guests at Faith Baptist Church. We are eager to share with you and your family the Lord's blessings on our fellowship.
Our Program
Being a small Church, we have a very warm, family atmosphere with plenty of opportunities to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. With the Bible as our standard, we seek to have programs and activities for all age groups. Click on "Ministries" in the menu to the left to see a list of these programs and activities.
Our Plans
Though our Church is small, it is not without vision. Our burden is to have ministries that could meet the spiritual and practical needs of every individual in our community.
Our Beliefs
- The verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible.
- The deity of Jesus Christ.
- The virgin birth of Jesus Christ.
- The blood atonement of Jesus Christ.
- Salvation by faith apart from works.
- The importance of personal dedication to the Lord and a separated walk before the eyes of an unbelieving world.
- The eternal bliss of the saved in Heaven and the eternal punishment of the lost in Hell.
- The pretribulational, premillenial view of last things.
Our Message
Have you considered the most important issue in life? Many people live all their lives without understanding what life is all about. God created us to fellowship with Himself. Life is only fully enjoyed and properly directed as one is right with his Maker. Because of man's natural rebellion against God, fellwoship with God is impossible. That is, impossible until a person:
- Admits his sinfulness and inability to get to God on his own.
- By faith, relies exclusively upon Christ and His shed blood on the cross to be the full sufficient payment for his sin.
(Romans 3:23; 6:23; John 3:16; Romans 10:13; II Corinthians 6:2)
